Noise About Living

Let’s make some noise about living
It ain’t over yet
A paradise or a prison
Sometimes it’s all in your head
As long as you’re still breathing
And you can get out of bed
Just make some noise about living
And keep your eyes straight ahead

Cobwebs in the corners, dust on all the sills
I’d go out to get the mail but I know it’s only bills
No mystery to unravel, no sermon to be preached
Everybody’s got a choice, it’s down to you and me

Let’s make some noise about living
It ain’t over yet
A paradise or a prison
Sometimes it’s all in your head
As long as you’re still breathing
And you can get out of bed
Just make some noise about living
And keep your eyes straight ahead

I’ve seen all my grand designs disappear into thin air
I drove around the beltway just to say I’d been somewhere
Take your prized possessions and throw them overboard
Only one thing is for certain and that’s time is growing short

Let’s make some noise about living
It ain’t over yet
A paradise or a prison
Sometimes it’s all in your head
As long as you’re still breathing
And you can get out of bed
Just make some noise about living
And keep your eyes straight ahead

In a world built on destruction, good trouble is never too far
You gotta fight to make it happen and it starts right where we are

Let’s make some noise about living
It ain’t over yet
A paradise or a prison
Sometimes it’s all in your head
As long as you’re still breathing
And you can get out of bed
Just make some noise about living
And keep your eyes straight ahead
