Logical Girl

I don’t mean to be cynical
But it’s not practical
It’s high time we got critical
Our life’s illogical
You and I are just about as far apart as we can be
I don’t understand what lies beneath this attraction

How could this have happened?
How could this have happened?
How could this have happened to a logical, a logical girl?

I wake up at the break of dawn
And you come wandering in
I get home and by then you’re gone
Out all night again
If all the world’s a stage, how come I always end up in the wings?
What could be the reasoning – did I miss something?

How could this have happened?
How could this have happened?
How could this have happened to a logical, a logical girl?

I dream of traveling to faraway places
You dream of laying your thoughts down on blank pages

I know you need time to play
Inside the world that you have found
So I take care of every day
To keep our feet right on the ground
Somehow when we find the time to be alone, it starts again
Opposites attract – I guess we’ll never know the reason

Why it has to happen
Yeah, this would have to happen
How could this have happened to a logical, a logical girl?

A logical girl, ah-ah
Girl, ah-ah
How could this have happened to a logical, a logical girl?
